10+2 with at least 50% in
aggregate and passed or appearing in final year 2 year Diploma in Elementary
Education
Or
10+2 with at least 45% in
aggregate and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary
Education in accordance with NCTE regulations 2002
Or
10+2 with at least 50% marks
and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary
Education (B.EI.ED)
Or
10+2 with at least 50% marks
and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in special Education
Or
Graduation and passed or
appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education

VIII (ELEMENTARY):
Graduation and passed or

each of one mark, with four options. No negative marking

Applicability of PSTET
PSTET: qualifying test is applicable to all the schools owned by Punjab
Government or Local bodies and aided schools.
PSTET may also be applicable to
unaided private schools
Validity period of PSTET certificate
Validity of PSTET certificate
for appointment is 7 years from date of declaration of result
No. of attempts = unlimited
Person who has already
qualified PSTET can re-appear for improving score.
Duration of exam for differently abled
Amanuensis will be provided to
Blind and Physically handicapped (hands only) candidates according to
following:
i) Candidate will arrange amanuensis himself
ii) Qualification of amanuensis should not be move than candidate
iii) Scribe should not be running coaching center
iv)
Scribe should not be a teacher
v)
Scribe should not be relative of candidate
vi)
scribe should not have qualified PSTET
